CPHR International Forges Partnership with the University of Batangas – Lipa Campus

In a landmark collaboration that underscores the growing synergy between academia and industry, the CPHR International Management Academy, through the International HR Institute (IHRI), has officially entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the University of Batangas – Lipa Campus (UBLC) on April 25, 2025.

The partnership, signed in coordination with the College of Education and Arts Sciences (CEAS), is designed to strengthen the professional readiness of BS Psychology students by integrating globally recognized HR certification and practical industry exposure into their academic journey. Through this collaboration, CPHR International will administer the Associate Certified Practitioner in Human Resources (aCPHR) certification to qualified students—empowering them with the foundational competencies, global standards, and practical understanding necessary to excel in the modern HR landscape.

Under the agreement, IHRI will oversee the delivery of specialized HR training and certification examinations, ensuring alignment with international benchmarks in human resource management. The initiative aims to bridge academic learning and workplace application, helping students transition seamlessly from university to professional practice.

Representing CPHR International at the signing were Noriela Mae Pablo, Program Director, and Karl Nama, aCPHR Program Manager, alongside Kevin Maglaqui, Program Director at the International HR Institute. During the session, Nama engaged with students, addressing their inquiries about the certification process and emphasizing the importance of early professional credentialing in building a sustainable HR career.

This partnership marks a pivotal step in expanding the reach of the aCPHR program within the higher education sector, reinforcing the commitment of CPHR International and IHRI to nurturing future-ready HR professionals equipped to meet the evolving demands of the global workforce.

The College of Education and Arts Sciences expressed its appreciation for the collaboration, highlighting its alignment with UBLC’s mission to provide industry-relevant education and produce graduates who are both academically competent and professionally credentialed.

By embedding global certification opportunities within the university curriculum, this partnership not only elevates the profile of HR education in Batangas but also contributes to the continuous growth of the HR profession in the Philippines.
